Search engine optimization is sometimes described as a product, a process, or a a service. At one time, it was considered a profession, though those who practiced it often included many other disciplines as well.
SEO is sometimes divided into white-hat and black-hat practices, though many who practice "white-hat" SEO prefer the term organic search engine optimization. Organic implies working with search engines instead of trying to trick them--though the interpretation of this principle can sometimes be tricky.
We have always strongly believed in organic optimization. Recent evens, such as the temporary banning of Interflora by Google, suggest that this is not just an ethical position, but the best business approach as well. Black-hat SEO is inherently risky, and this risk is born primarily by the client, not the SEO agency.
Without good content, and without input into the overall web strategy, SEO is not really viable. What we can do is evaluate your current situation, provide suggestions that can give you the best impact for where you are now. We will also be honest about what you would have to do to gain meaningful results, and help you decide whether that might be worth the additional investment.
If you want an initial evaluation, please contact us using the form to the right. From there, we can move to performing a basic SEO audit. We may suggest an ongoing collaboration after that. However, if the audit suggests you would not particularly gain from it, we would be honest about that. We might also recommend looking into other resources.
